Women's Roles in the Middle Ages

Information about women in this truly fascinating period from 500 to 1500 is in great demand and has been a challenge for historians to uncover. The second chapter examines women's work, looking in turn at the kinds of work performed by peasant women, townswomen, and noblewomen.
